Painted Layers

I'm here on this wonderful Friday with a little freebie for you. I wanted you to be able to try out my new Painted Layers and see how fun and easy they are to work with. But before I give it to you I want to give you a little tip on using these goodies.
Here's what I did for the page I just made with my new Painted Layers
This first picture shows you what the paint smears looks like before I've changed the blending mode. As you can see from my layers palette I've just clipped (ctrl+alt+g) different colors of papers to the different "Painted Layers".
Now to change the blending mode just make sure you are on the "Painted Layer" and then go to the drop down box in the layers palette and try some different blending modes. For this particular one I used Linear Burn but it's fun to play around with and try different modes...and you can always adjust opacity too if you want to.
I'm sure there other ways to blend your painted layers into the background of your photo but this is what I did for my particular page. Hope it helps you a little. You can download the freebie here so you can try it out yourself. Oh and this a unique painted layer and is not in the set I have in my store. So if you purchase the set you'll get 5 completely different painted layers! Have fun with this one and I can't wait to see what you do with it.
