Life with Liz - 2010 Project/Sneak Peek/Chance to Win!

I am so excited to show you my latest project. I can't quite believe it myself but I have completed a 2010 album and I only started this project last Thursday! It only took me about a day and a half to complete! Yes, you heard me right. I must remind you that this wasn't just a day and a half of non-stop scrapping (I'm never quite that lucky). In between scrapping pages, I was homeschooling, babysitting, teaching piano lessons, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, answering e-mails, etc...

I'll tell you how I did it. First I downloaded the Digi Files #25 Celebrate Collaboration (no longer available). Oh and by the way I'm a contributor this month ;-) There are 2 templates from me in the kit.

Then I grabbed some of my new templates that will be coming out this week. They are perfect for scrapping a whole album. There are 2 sets with a total of 8 templates (plus a freebie temp I made up....that you might see on my blog later this week. *wink wink*) So that gave me 9 templates to work with.
I decided I would pick out my favorite pictures or favorite memory from each month and then scrap just one page for each month of 2010 and then I made a title page. So I made a total of 13 pages.
This project was so fun, easy, quick & simple. I think the reason I had so much fun with this is because I didn't try to overdo it. I stuck to one kit, stuck to just a few pics for each month & I had super good templates to work with. LOL! Oh and I must say that I had so much fun working with this kit. It was so fun to work with so many great designers and their designs.
So without further ado. Here are my pages. I'll do another post when I get this book printed up so you can see what it looks like in a book.
Oh and I used my Year in Review Templates to kind of summarazie the title page. But all of the rest of the pages are made with templates that you'll see in my store on Thursday.
So tell me what Scrapbook Album you would really like to complete in 2011. I'll come back on Wednesday night at midnight and randomly choose someone to win both sets of my new templates! Can't wait to see what your goals are.

This is a great album, Liz! Are you planning to have a photo book printed? I think this type of album would be great for scrapping those everyday moments that get left out of the event pages.

I love the idea of a page a month. The project 52 sounds great too. I would like to finish my 2009 & 2010 family scrapbooks this year. -Jody

This year I am tackling project 365. I tried two years ago during a move, remodel, moving back in, a kid in the hopital and then said child starting kindergarten. At that point things were a little too crazy and I ended up quiting in late September. I still kick myself that I didn't finish it. This year I WILL finish. Thanks for the chance to win what looks like a bunch of really cool templates.

Love your album! This year I want to finish the Me: The Abridged Version album I started, and I also want to do a mini album for my Mom.

Simona said...

I guess I should do the same: go easy! Or I'll never be able to finish an entire year album! Plus yours looks lovely, I am waiting to see it printed when you have it done!
My goals for 2011 scrapbooking-ly speaking are to finish my 2009 vacation album (yes, 2009) and start and finish my 2010 vacation album. The memories are fading away fast and I can't believe I am so late with those. I guess you are right about wanting to over-do. But when you have a lot of beautiful vacation pics to scrap, how do you decide what to throw away?? Not to scrap I mean. Narrowing them down is really insanely difficult to me!

Like others, I am aiming for the 52 projects. I know some weeks will have MORE than one photo... but if I can get one photo/layout a week for the entire year--- WOW would I be happy!

PS -- thank you for the free template in the Daily Digi email. Its a great place to get started!

This year I'm really hoping to stick with Project 365, and I'm doing it primarily on my cell phone. Hopefully that will help me stay on track since i have my phone with my 24/7!!

I want to get 2010 done and then go back to 2006 and get a year in review done! I have decided to do a year in review for every year I have been married. I have got a long way to go!

I would LOVE to get caught up and FINISH 2010, too! I needed some inspiration...thanks Liz!

LovelyMissKait said...

I think my problem is that I want to include everything. I need to finish my 2009 p365, which I think I will convert to p52 if I ever want to get it done.

I will have to do the same with 2010 because I just don't have the time to include all of it, plus I didn't get to take a picture every day and faltered halfway trough.

Anyway, thanks for the inspiration and for the awesome template (digi files freebie).

Again, thank you!

I am working on 2010 too! And this year I am participating in project 52 as well. I already have 3 LO's done! All thanks to templates. So this would be great to win!

I want to complete Project: Love, Me. I also have lots of catching up to do on my general pages, but I'm getting there. I've been trying to scrap a page every day. I'm also trying to learn to scrap single pages. I used to get real petty about two facing pages having to "match".

Thank you so much for the great freebie that got sent out with the DailyDigi newletter - what a bonus!!! My aim is to do Project 52 this year...but I also like the idea of monthly layout as back up!!!

I still need to go back and finish several years with of photo albums ... my goal is to finish a few projects that I've started, do my 2011 YIR calendar (I've done this since 2004) and I've committed to the 52 Inspirations project at Oscraps ... so those are my goals! Templates would help :)

I became a grandma to two lively blonde-haired girls (ages 4 and 5) in November when my son married their mother. I would like to do an album for each of them, similar to what you have done, with photos from this past year. They don't have many photos from previous years, but my son loves photography and has taken many during 2010. I know the girls would re and re-read a book like this! Thank you for your inspiration.

Well, I think I am going to do Project 52 this year. I doubt I would be able to do a photo a day and get 365 done, so I think 52 is going to do it for me!

Thanks for the chance to win!!

My goal is to complete P365 and actually scrap the photos along the way. Then get the pages printed (or book printed)!

Your templates are always outstanding - I use them all the time. My goal this year is to make my mother in law a year in review of 12 pages to then print as a calendar...

I wish I could whip up something so satisfying in such a short amount of time - kudos to you!

I'm hoping to complete my pregnancy scrapbook in 2011 (with only three months to go until baby is here), which is eaasier said than done because I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my layouts! :P

Love your new album Liz! I am partaking in Project Love, Me this year and I really want to complete that and have it printed at the end of the year so good luck to me on that, if I do it will be the first book I'll actually have finished,LOL.

Hi Liz, I'm hoping to go back through my last (almost) 5 years of pictures of my two Grandchildren and complete an album of all those little, special moments I captured for each Granchild....It will be so hard to decide which pictures to choose from since I have so many....Thanks for the chance to win your new templates!

Ang said...

Awesome album!!!

Ok so I did P365 in 2010 and I love that I did it... but I wasn't about to do it again so soon. LOL I am doing a kind of p52 though, simplescrapper.com does a "Celebrate Monday" post every week with a photo prompt. Since I am known for my um, dislike, of Mondays I thought it would be funny to actually celebrate them instead. And in addition to that I'd like to get back to my regular scrapping which definitely took a back seat to P365 last year.

Sharon Kay said...

I'd like to use the year in review but use it for our robotics pictures ... it is sure a great way to get a lot of pictures scrapped!

Tiff said...

I am finishing up my Project 365 for 2010 and starting it for 2011, my regular scrapbook, and a book from a recent trip to Disney World. I would love a few new templates to work with. Thanks for the chance.

I actually have 3 goals for this year. To complete Landen's 1 year album, his 2 year album by his 3rd birthday and to complete our Disney album. Thanks so much for the chance! :)

I would LOVE to win ;) I sure would like to just scrapbook again. I LOVE your album dear. CAN YOU GET me scrapping again PLEASE! LOVE ya girl. Maybe my goal should be to do just ONE page a week. :)

Jennifer Prescott said...

I NEED your templates to survive! I need to get my daughters first year done, um yea that was 2007. I could really use these templates for 2010.

Leppy said...

I just saw this post! I can't believe how fast you made all these pages. They are fabulous. Thanks for the inspiration Liz!! The templates are awesome as well. Your templates are very practical!!
