July Blog Challenge: Introducing The 3Rs!!

Happy Tuesday my fellow digi-scrappers and Liz fans!  As promised, I'm back with last month's winner and a fun new challenge for July.  I think you're going to love our challenge this month, but before I jump into that let's clear up the business of winning!

Drumroll, please!  The winner of the June blog challenge, "Good 'Ol Summertime", is.......Sharon!!  Random.Org chose her layout "When Summer Comes" from all of the fabulous entries we received.  While I can't tell you why Random.Org chose her layout, I can tell you we love it's fantastic background paper, lovely journaling, great shadows and adorable clusters.  If you'd like to leave Sharon some kudos and love her layout is linked!  (Sharon, check your PMs box at Scrap Orchard for your prize!)

If you love this template and would like your very own, Sharon used Simple and Sweet Album Templates II.  You can find them HERE

Okay, good!  I'm dying to tell you about Liz's fun new challenge idea!  The 3Rs:  Revisited, Revamped, and Refreshed!  For those of you who have been Liz fanatics from the start, you'll remember her older templates were numbered instead of titled.  In our 3Rs challenges, Liz will use an older template as her inspiration for something new, hence our name:  Revisited, Revised, Refreshed.  She'll rework it and give it away here as part of the monthly challenge!  Isn't that cool?!  What's even cooler is that you can leave a comment telling her your favorite older template that you'd like to see 3R-ified!
This month she used #82 as her inspiration.  Liz told me, "With this template I just started all over, brand new on a clean 12x12 page but I took the ideas/designs from the older template to make a new one."  Here's a sketch of #82......

And here's the gorgeous template Liz has for us this month.  (Download link disabled.)

Wow!  I love that you can see the framework of the original template but  the rounded corners on the photo and journaling spots, prettier scallops on the mats and cluster spots really make this template pop! Personally, I think this template is pretty all on its own.  That said, Liz, Tracy, Lenka and I couldn't resist playing with this one:  here's what we created:

by Liz
by Tracy
by Lenka
by Kimberley

And now for the "how to play' and fine print.....
Challenge Rules:

  1. Download and use the above template (Template Revisited
  2. Upload your completed layout in the Scrapping with Liz gallery at Scrap Orchard HERE or a photo sharing site of your choice. (Please do not upload to a site that will require me to register in order to view the layout.  Use either the Scrapping with Liz gallery or someplace such as Photobucket or TinyPic to host your layout).  Remember, you can flip, rotate or modify the original template all you want so long as I can tell it came from the original template.
  3. Come back to this blog post and leave a comment with a link to your completed layout BY JULY 31, 2012.
  4. Winner of the $5 coupon will be chosen and announced the first Tuesday in August!

We can't wait to see what you create! And don't forget to leave Liz a comment about which template you'd like to see her refresh!
Happy Scrapping!
Kimberley

Is there any way to purchase this template now? I stumbled upon this today & fell in love. I didn't immediately see it in your shop, but I hope I just overlooked it!

I haven't placed it in my shop yet. It is scheduled to be in my Shop the first weekend in September. I hope that's not too long too wait.
