Daily Life Week 30: Settling In

Daily Life Templates 8 by Scrapping with Liz
My Everyday by Dream Big Designs
My Everyday Alpha by Dream Big Designs
Transparent Epoxy Styles by Chelle's Creations
Oh what a fun week it has been! We are settling in here with Matthew. I'll let you read the journaling from my page below. I'm going to keep it short and sweet this week since I'm still catching up on sleep (jet lag is killer!).  Enjoy my Daily Life page and my Journal Card freebie and I'll be back next week with some new products, sneak peeks, and perhaps some more digital scrapbook pages.

Journaling: This week was filled with lots of  family outings. We took our first walk in the neighborhood as a family of 7, we played baseball, went bike riding, went hiking to see a waterfall, played at the playground, and went to see Grandma’s new puppy. We also discovered that Matthew likes to help in the kitchen.....he fits right in! Now I have 5 helpers.  We also gave Matthew his first haircut.....I’m realizing that boys need their hair cut a lot more frequently than girls do. We are making lots of new family memories as a family of 7.

And here's the journal card freebie. As usual just click the image to download.

Until next week!

Scrap-lift 2014 Week Four - The Final Week!

Week 29: Home

Daily Life Templates 7 by Scrapping with Liz

Week 29, one of the best weeks ever! We are home together. I managed to scrap this week's page recovering from jet lag, maybe that's why there isn't as much journaling as normal. Once again, I had a hard time choosing just 7 photos for this week's page. I'm definitely going to be scrapping a China album and an album for Matthew....eventually the photos will get scrapped. For now I am happy that I'm still caught up with my 2014 Daily Life pages.

Journaling: We spent our last few days in China. We visited the Zoo and the Chen Clan Academy. Matthew liked posing with the statues. Thursday we headed home. It took us 33 hours, a couple of delays and we were finally all together.

Week 28: Matthew!

Daily Life Templates 8 by Scrapping with Liz
Aviator by Chelle's Creations
It's Saturday night in China, Saturday morning back home, and I'm done with my Week 28 Daily life Page. Does that mean I'm a day ahead?

Week 28 was a big week. Matthew is officially a part of our family. I tried to capture what our week looked like in just 7 pictures and a couple paragraphs of journaling. There is so much more. You can only imagine how many pictures I've taken and how many thoughts/emotions/memories I want to preserve through scrapbooking. Those will have to wait, but they will eventually be made. Right now I'm catching up on sleep, spending lots of time with my boy and trying to soak up all of these moments.

Aviator by Chelle's Creations
Journaling: Week 28! We’ve waited for this week for almost a year. Sunday we flew to Nanjing and on Monday morning we finally met Matthew. We brought a few toys and began playing with him. There’s so much more I could say about our meeting, but that will have to wait for his scrapbook. We went back to our hotel room and played all afternoon. Again, so much I could say and scrap about, but I will wait. On Tuesday we had our official adoption day. We went back to sign some papers. We all had to thumb print several documents. He is now officially part of our family. After all the document signing we went to Zhongshan Mountain National Park. It’s probably the most beautiful place I’ve seen in China yet. We did a lot more stair climbing....and sweating. I’m loving making memories with our little boy! On Wednesday we took the fast train to Xuzhou and spent two days in the city where Matthew’s orphanage was.

Daily Life Templates 8 by Scrapping with Liz
Aviator by Chelle's Creations
Journaling: We saw some of the sights and also visited the orphanage. It was heartbreaking to see all the babies and children, but it was heartwarming to see my kids interacting with these babies. I’m pretty sure we would have taken home a couple more if they would have let us. On Friday we flew to Guangzhou....but not after a long, interesting delay at the airport (more about that on another page). We are finally settled here for the week and get to enjoy Subway!

And just because he's just so cute I had to share this pictures with you (it wouldn't fit on my page). We are all doing great together. His big sisters think he's the cutest thing ever, his little sisters like to make faces with him on skype, and needles to say we all love him so much. He's very smiley, he soaks everything in, he's so willing to learn, he likes to color and draw, he also likes my sunglasses and my camera, and he REALLY likes flying. The last 6 days have been incredible. #GodisGood

And I haven't forgotten about my freebies. Here's your Daily Life Journal Card 28. Enjoy!

Week 27: All About China

Daily Life Templates 7 by Scrapping with Liz
This Side of Crazy by Amanda Heimann
Other Side of Crazy by Amanda Heimann
I scrapped my Daily Life Week 27 page in Beijing, China! Talk about taking your scrapping with you. The last few days of been a whirlwind. Great Wall, Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, Pearl Factory, Silk Factory, Jade Factory, Forbidden City, Boat ride down the QinHuai River....I think there is more, but I can't remember it all right now! All I can think about is that we get our son in t-minus 14 hours.

As you can imagine I have a ton of pictures to scrap, a ton of memories to share, and I'm sure I'll be sharing them all through scrapbook pages over the next couple of months. Right now my Daily Life Week 27 page is going to have to cut it. You can read the journaling from my page below.

Journaling: The beginning of this week was filled with packing and preparing for China. On Wednesday we headed out. All the pics to the left are us getting reading, going and then waiting. We arrived safe and sound after about 25 hours of travel. We spent our first two days touring Beijing. On this page you'll see the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven...obviously I have a lot more pictures but those will have to wait for other scrapbook pages! I also got to meet my digital scrapbook friend Sherly (nietis). We had fun chatting. Lydia and Kyla are staying at Grandma's house and they had fun riding in the 4th of July parade back home.

And even though I'm in China I still have a journal card freebie for you. :) Just click the picture to download.
