It's GSO Time!

Hello!  CTM Robin here with another GSO layout.  I NEEDED to spend some time in Liz’s gallery to jump start my mojo.  I’m hosting a slow scrap next week at The Lilypad, and I knew I’d find some inspiration by taking a peek.  Additionally, I knew I could share some gorgeous eye candy with y’all so we could all ohhhh and ahhhh together 😊

First, let me show you this one by Claire Grantham:

I’m actually going to use this layout as my slow scrap inspiration.  Don’t you just love the different fonts and use of cut outs?  Well, if you do, then come play along with me next week on March 30th at 3:00 PM CST / 4:00 PM EST and earn a coupon just for making a layout.  How cool is that!

Okay, back to business 😊  Here is a layout by aballen:

I cannot express how much I love the circles which serve as a contrast to the straightness of the railroad tracks.  I also love the pops of blue brushes which balance out the blue sky.  Oh my!!

Next is an adorable page by triplejdesigns:

I love the torn papers, the typesetting elements, and the perfectly placed scatters.  The layered look of this page is outstanding!

Take a look at this journal page by bjthomas:

You have to know I’m a sucker for journaling and this layout tells the story of her migraines perfectly.  This is one of my favorite templates by Liz and I love how it’s paired with the title cut out as well.  I’m so scraplifting this one!!

Finally, I couldn’t resist showing you this one by Dady:

I can never pass up looking at a layout with a bird in it, and this one was no different.  It’s a stunning picture and I love how the mixed media papers and stamps perfectly complement the bird’s colors.  The whole vibe is soothing and so very good for my soul!

Well, that’s it for me this month.  I hope you liked the choices as much as I do and don’t forget to click on the name to be taken to the gallery where you can leave some much-deserved love!  See y’all next month.

Week 11 & Year 6!

This week was filled with concerts, plays, baking and graduation pictures! This week 11 page came together so quickly. The templates, the kits and photos just flowed together. Does that ever happen to you?

And can you believe it's already time for my 2nd daughter to graduate?! Besides working on her Year 6 graduation page, I was able to make her graduation announcements and party invites. I can't wait to share them with you! She helped me design them. It's another bonus of knowing some Photoshop - you can design your announcements. I'll share them as soon as we get them out to friends and family.

Week 10: Plays, painting, new car, glasses...

My Week 10 pages are done! It was a fun week with a fun play with friends, watching my daughter paint a mural, a daughter purchasing her first car, volunteering, glasses, and more.

This page came together quickly and beautifully with my Simple Life Templates and kits from Lynn Grieveson and Rachel Jeffries. I love the combos of these templates and kits.

NEW Focal Point Templates 9 & Journaling Path Letter Templates

Today I have two NEW Template Packs for you: Focal Point Templates 9 and Journaling Path Letter Templates

Focal Point Templates 9 - I finally have a new pack of Focal Point Templates. These have always been a favorite. They feature large faded mask feature photos with smaller accent photos in clusters.

Journaling Path Letter Templates are uniquely created alphabet templates. They include a layered template for each letter of the alphabet. There are custom text paths, layers, and doodles for each letter.

Another Step-by-Step

Hello and happy March!  CTM Robin here with another step-by-step layout.  Y’all, I absolutely ADORE Liz’s Artsy Journal templates and am so excited to see another one out.

Can you believe this collection is Artsy Journal Templates set 34??  I’m so glad she’s still making these and hope this series never ends!!!

As soon as I saw this one, I knew I wanted to use it to scrap my son’s Court of Honor.  Here’s the template I started with:

Let me show you what I did with it.  First I added the photos like I always do:

Next, I picked out the papers I wanted from My Man!, a collab by NBK Design & Joyce Paul.  I added an extra piece of paper to balance out the khaki-colored paper strips.  Well, that and I am a sucker for torn paper pieces which is another reason I love this template:

Usually, I save my text and title for last, but I wanted to make sure I could fit the story in the paper strips before placing my elements.  I thought I might have needed the top cardboard paper layer for journaling, but I didn’t so I can move on:

Lastly, I added my elements, changed my title some, and adjusted my shadows and then I was done!  Woo hoo!

That’s it.  Thanks to Liz’s template, another layout is in my folder and ready to print during the next big sale.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my process and that you have a chance to play with this amazing template as well.  I know you’ll love it and use it repeatedly!  See you next month 😊
