Another Small Tutorial: Turning a Template into a Double Pager

I know some of you already know how to do this but I thought I would share with the rest of you a quick, easy way that you can turn a one page template into a double page layout.

I thought my new Block Templates would look good as a double layout so I'm going to show you how. Seriously it only takes 1 step!

First you'll open the template and save it with a new name so that you don't save over the original template. Then all you have to do is go to Image>Rotate Canvas>Flip Canvas Horizontal. That's pretty much it. You will have to remove the journaling and title layer since they will be backwords but you'll have the basic template and you can easily copy the journaling and title layers (from the original template) on to the new template and place them where you would like. This way flips/rotates the whole canvas. Keep reading to see how to flip/rotate individual layers.

Here's another way to do it if you only want to flip a couple of layers. (Select the layers you want to flip (hold down ctrl + click on all the layers you want to flip/rotate) then go to edit>transform> and then you can either go to rotate 180, rotate 90, rotate90, flip horizontal, or flip vertical. Sometimes it's fun to play around with the different layers so that you can get a similar but not completely flipped layout.

Here's the original template:

Here's the modified double layout:
I used the Rotate 180 to get this look.

Hope this is useful and that you can get a little bit more out of my templates with this tutorial.

New Stuff and I'm in the Digi Files! I wanted to do this blog post earlier today but it just didn't happen. Life happened! Just normal day to day things......but even though this is the first chance I've had to blog today I must say I've had a very fulfilling day and I'm so glad to be a homeschooling, stay at home mom of 3 beautiful girls....and not to mention that I have a most wonderful husband!!
I've been so excited about today! Did you guys see the digi-files this month? Well, if you haven't, I'm a contributing designer this month and today I'm in the sponsor spotlight over at their blog. If you want to find out a little bit more about me check it there's a special coupon code over there for my store!

If you've never heard of the digi-files or THE DAILY DIGI then you are really missing out. The Daily Digi site brings you the best of digi-scrapping on a daily basis....with honest opinions about quality products, photo printers, programs, resources, and more. They even find tutorials and other important things to share. The Digi-Files are the best part though....Each month they come out with a collection of several products that retail for over $5 EACH for only $5 (that is over $35 of product for $5). The designers are chosen based on their quality products, they do not pay to contribute. So, this month I'm a contributing designer and if you purchase the digi-files you'll receive an exclusive set of templates from me that you can't find anywhere else!

Here are a few pages made with the templates that I have in the digi-files.

Now that I've shared that little bit of info with you I want to show you the new stuff I have this week over at Scrap Orchard. Everything you see here is 20% off until May 13th. Just click on the pic to view more details about the products.

Blocked Shape Templates
By popular demand these new templates come with .tiffs as well as templates with shadows on separate layers! So you can take your pic. Use the tiff's or psd's (with shadows on the layers or on separate layers). Yup, they are all included.
