2015 Week 33: Work, Run, Repeat

My Life Templates 9 by Scrapping with Liz
Everyday Life August by Juno Designs
If you look at my pictures you would think the only thing we did this week was run and work. It kind of feels like it! 2 5ks, and I think we were at the new house every day this week.  We did do some other things....like school work, music practice, volleyball, game night...just not a lot of pictures to prove it.

What was your week full of?

One Page Closer

Block and Paper Strip Templates from Scrapping with Liz
So Long Summer by Bella Gypsy
I tried really hard this past weekend to scrap more of Matthew's album, but all I got done was this one page. I do have the LAST 3 pages ready to go though! The photo spots are filled, and all I have to do is scrap them. Maybe, just maybe I'll get it done next weekend.

I did take some time to scrap the 2016 August Calendar page for my mom. I know I've already told you how much I LOVE how this is turning out, but it's true, I love it so much. I mixed up a whole lot of kits for this page, which I don't typically do, but love how the colors all worked together from these different kits.

That's all for this week. Hoping to be showing you the rest of Matthew's album next weekend!

2015 Week 32: LOTS of Photos

True Stories by Juno Designs
Wowzer, did I take a lot of photos this week. I had a really hard time choosing what photos to include on this week's page. I definitely have more pictures to scrap from this week. What to do with them? Maybe I'll make an album with random leftover pictures from the year?

I think this week's page ended up showing a good mix of what our week looked like. Take a look if you want to see what week 32 looked like for me.

This week was filled with lots of activity (aren't they all?)...working at our new house, discovering a new park (that's only a mile from our new home - woohoo!), volleyball practice, school work, playtime at the Factory, celebrating Daddy's b-day.... The list goes on.

Take a closer look below, if you want to.

Traveling Home

Traveling the World Templates by Scrapping wit Liz
First Flight by Laura Banasiak
I came out with these new Traveling the World Templates this past week, and I just had to try them. I knew they would be perfect for scrapping our journey home with Matthew. I didn't take many pictures on our way home. I think maybe just because I was so tired and ready to be home.

I paired up the template above with this one, and I think it will make it a nice double pager in Mathew's album.

I still have one more day of our adoption journey to scrap (the day before these above) and then I'll be ready to print!

2015 Week 30: House, Friends, School, Food!

Everyday Life July Bundle by Juno Designs
Alpha from Everyday Life June by Juno Designs
Just another week filled with working at our new house (this week we focused on our porch), spending time with new AWESOME friends, doing schoolwork (we do year round home schooling - it's just easier for us), food (do we really need to eat 3x a day?), and fun walks with the family.

This week I tried to use my DSLR more. Can you tell which photos were taken with my phone and which ones were taken with the DSLR?

Take a closer look below, if you will.

Digital Scrapbooking Favorites

I thought I would share some of my "go-to" scrapbooking items. Besides templates (of course!) there are a few things I always seem to use or fall back on when I'm not sure what to use.

In no particular order here they are:

1. Kraft Paper: When all other background papers fail kraft paper always does me well. It helps those photos stand out and can really go with any color scheme. Happy Scrap Girl always had my fave Kraft Papers, but now she's retired. Do you have any favorite Kraft papers that I just HAVE to have?

2. Word Bits: I often use word bits in place of titles. Quick, easy and oh, so cute! The ones you see pictured above are from A Boy's Summer Revamped by Red Ivy Designs. She has some of the cutest word bits in her kits.

3. Gold Alphas: When I can't figure out what alpha to use lately I'll go looking for a gold alpha. It just always seems to fit. The one pictured above is from Juno Design's Everyday Life December Bonus Alpha. I also really love the gold alpha in Que Sera from Juno Designs.

4. Plastic Flowers: I just love these little plastic flowers I'm finding in kits. It's sort of has a feel of a button (which I also love). I just think they are so cute. This one is from Juno Design's Everyday Life July Kit.

5. Washi Tape: Last, but certainly not least is Washi Tape. I'm a sucker for Washi Tape. I especially love this polka dot gold sparkly one in the Everyday Life July Washi Tape by Juno Designs. I've used it on several pages. I just keep going back to it.

What are your faves right now?

So Close to Being Done!

Journal That Templates by Scrapping with Liz
Family Vacay by Dream Big Designs
I did it again! I scrapped a total of 6 pages this past weekend, my weekly double pager and four more for Matthew's adoption album, and I only scrapped for a couple of hours! Practice may not make perfect around these parts, but it sure does make my scrapping go quicker. It seems like the more I scrap the quicker I get. Maybe it's because I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with Matthew's Album, and I just want to get it done. I only have 1 more full day to scrap of our adventures in China and then our day of traveling home. I'm so close!

I kept these first two simple and played around a little bit with the last two.
