Week 45: Board Games, Outdoor Play and School!

Here is last week's page. By looking at these photos you'd think all we did was play board games and play outside! And that would partly be true. We do spend a lot of time doing those things, especially this time of year. When it's really chilly we stay inside and play games. When it's nice enough to be outside we are outside. This week also included school, lots of audio-verbal and speech therapy, music lessons, laundry, cooking, cleaning....all the normal things! I'm so glad we still had time for games and outdoor play.

That picture of Abi and Isaac just makes my heart happy. They are best buds and have discovered that leaf sledding is their new favorite thing. Isaac pretends it's a car and Abi is his passenger. Then they both work as a team to carry it back up the hill. The rest of the pictures make me happy to. So much goodness in my life.

How is your fall going?

New Weekly Life and November Review Templates

Liz has her newest weekly and monthly 2-page spreads in the store, and on sale 20% off through November 19th. The My Life line has pocket-inspired style with all the flexibility that digital has to offer (lots of different shapes and sizes for the photos). Each 2-page spread has about 10-12 photo/journal card spots.

If a monthly review is more your speed (like me),  Liz has a new template just for you. This is clean and simple, and the photos really take the stage. Monthly spreads make a great album for the year.

And here is some inspiration from Liz and Donna.

A Mistake & Weekend Scrapping!

I made a little mistake last week. My Weekly My Life Templates were supposed to release, but I got so wrapped up in Document Your December that I forgot! For those of you waiting to scrap Week 45 of 2017 those templates will release on Friday, but if you don't want to get being please send me a message and I'll try to get them to you earlier. With that said, I did get my Week 45 done, but I'm going to wait to share it with you until the template set releases later this week. BUT, I also did some other scrapping this weekend and I thought I would share.

I finally finished my October 2018 Calendar Page. Only two more months to scrap and I'll be able to print this beauty. I just love the light, airy feel of these pages.

Then I scrapped a cover page for my 6x8 December Album. I'm going to try to Document my December. My goal is to capture a memory for every day leading up to Christmas. There are so many fun traditions to capture and remember. I'm going to keep it super simple by using my 6x8 Falala Templates and sticking to 1-2 photos a day. I'm trying a different size mainly because of the bulk of a 12x12, but also because it might be fun to scrap in a different size. I probably won't scrap a page each day but rather scrap them all on the weekend following the week, probably when I scrap my weekly page. I'm hoping getting this cover page is motivation enough to get this project going. There's a lot of inspiration over in the Document Your December forum at the Lilypad.

How about you? Are you making any sort of special December Album?

P.S. Since I didn't release My Life Templates last week like I was supposed to I'm going to have a little giveaway on my blog tomorrow! Don't miss it.

Falala 4x6 Templates = 12x12 Christmas Page!

Friday I released my Falala Templates. Rebecca, one of my team members, is using the 4x6 size templates (they come in 3 different sizes) to scrap individual days, and then she is putting them all on  12x12 pages. It's simply amazing. I had to share it with you.

Here's her first 6 days from last December. Isn't it gorgeous? So simple to do too!

She used the December 2016 Storyteller Collection from Just Jamie

And then close ups of the individual 4x6 pages.

Rebecca has definitely inspired me to do something like this! What about you? Do you make some kind of December album every year? Or have you scrapped 4x6 pages and put them together on a 12x12? Or even just made a 4x6 album? I'd love to hear about it.

MIS Favorites & Instructions!

This past Saturday night Tracy hosted a MIS (Make it Snappy) in the TLP forum. I always have a lot of fun checking out all the pages when the challenge is over. I thought I would share a few of my favorites today. Click on the image to get full credits.  *I've also posted the challenge rules below in case any of you would like to try out the challenge just for fun.

This first page is from Judie. I love Judie's pages. She does a beautiful job with layers and elements and shadowing and she always seems to keep the focus on the photos even with everything else that is going on.

This next page is from Karen. I love how she stuck to black and white for most of her page. The pop of yellow from the scallop and elements is a lovely touch, just right with the pop of green from the photo.

Those gorgeous black and white photos with the beautiful neutral colors is stunning. Then when I saw that it was a letter she had written for her grandmothers funeral I realized how much more beautiful of a page this was.

And this is a fun and festive page by Jane. Those photos really make the page.

Here were Tracy's instructions for the MIS. Have a try if you need a little challenge.

Week 44: 13th Birthday & Fall Stuff

My Life Templates 12 by Scrapping with Liz
Oh Snap Bundle by Lynn-Marie
Carefree Papers by Pink Reptile DesignsCarefree Elements by Pink Reptile Designs

Beauty Full Paper Pack by Forever Joy Designs

I'm switching things around on my blog. Since I scrap my pages on the weekend I'm going to start sharing my weekly pages on Monday....that way you can see them a bit earlier. I'm hoping to start posting a Gallery Lovin' type post on Thursdays. You guys will have to forgive me for not keeping up with the Monday Highlights. Real life is taking over right now with my kids school work, surgeries, and now the upcoming holidays. I have to prioritize what is most important with the little bit of time I have on my computer.  My weekly pages come first since they mean so much to my family...and honestly they keep me scrappin' and designing.

Enough business! Here's a little bit more about our past week. We celebrated a 13th birthday. Now I have two teen girls in my house. So far I've loved the teen years, but I do have a feeling this new 13 year old is going to make having a teenager a whole lot more interesting! We also did a whole lot of fall type things this week: a corn maze, hayride, leaf sledding, roasting marshmallows, etc...

I just love the look of fall pages. They have some of my favorite colors.

Happy Fall!
