Happy last Thursday before Christmas!
I know, that’s a mouthful, but that’s how my
kids mark the days before Christmas.
They
used to say, “Five more sleeps before Christmas,” but I guess as they get older,
their sayings change.
Sigh.
Time is going by so fast!
Time passing is why I scrap.
I want to capture the moment so when they go
off on their own, I have memories documented.
I enjoy looking at them, and believe it or not, they too love to look back
on the past.
So how will I capture the
celebrations this month?
Well I am still
making a checklist to make sure I get it all.
In my last post I shared some ideas based on what I had seen in the
gallery at The Lilly Pad.
I’m back today
to share a few more layouts which have inspired me to take more photos and get
them scrapped!
Let me show you what I mean.
First, take a peek at this wonderful layout by
beatricemi.
Don’t you just absolutely adore these three smiling faces in
their cute Christmas pajamas?
I love Christmas
pajamas!
There is something so fun about
receiving new pajamas on Christmas eve and sleeping in them while dreaming of
the morning to come.
Thanks to beatricemi’s
artful framing of these pictures, you can just see the joy radiating from the
boys!
Next, how about this gorgeous layout by
Liz herself!
It beautifully shows the chaos of the holiday season with
cookies and recitals and family time as well.
I love that she captured the music with the QR
code.
No more pulling out antiquated
tapes or reels and trying to figure how to store and play them.
QR codes are definitely easy to use and
scrap.
I’m going to include a few on my
own layouts this year!
Now I’d like to show you this layout by
bonnenuit.
Ahhh Christmas cards.
It’s so nice to see some people still send them.
I LOVE receiving Christmas cards of any kind,
but especially the paper kind with hand written notes.
There’s something so comforting about sitting
and holding them in your hands and remembering special times with the
sender.
I use them as decorations this
season and as name tags the next.
I love
the way bonnenuit scrapped her husband’s involvement and her stamp
embellishment really just makes the page!
Finally, I wanted to share with you
katell’s layout.
Her layout expresses just what I feel about the holidays –
joy.
There is so much joy in being with family
and friends and sharing our lives with each other.
I love the way she captures this exact
emotion with the photos and the way she scrapped them to resemble a wreath is
pretty darn cute too!
Well, that’s it for me.
I hope you have enjoyed these gorgeous pieces of eye candy and they have
inspired you to pull out your camera, phone, or whatever else you use to grab
some photos and scrap those holiday memories!
Merry Christmas y’all!
