Templates with a Twist

Happy September!!  Can you believe summer is over and the fall season is upon us??  Pumpkins and cooler temperatures are in sight. Well … for some of you anyway!  Here in the south, we have another few months of hot temperatures, but we can live vicariously through y’all! 😊

Alrighty then,  as you know, with a new month brings a new Templates with a Twist feature.  I’m CTM Robin and I’m here to show y’all some examples of making double page layouts with Liz’s templates.  This will be so much fun!

First, let’s talk about just using two templates that are designed specifically for a double page spread layout.  Amanda used Keepin’ It Real Double Templates to make this gorgeous two page layout.  I love that she carried the green and yellow across both pages with some pops of black to tie it all together.  Isn’t this super sweet?

Next, I’d like to show you how you can use two different templates in the same pack.  Liz is really great about making templates that go together nicely so it’s easy to do.  Here, she did exactly that by putting together two different templates from her Photos and Strips Templates set.  I love how she made sure to use the same papers on both sides to keep the eye moving across both pages.  She’s a brilliant scrapper as well as a template designer!

Finally, I wanted to show that you can even take the SAME template, and EXTEND it to make a two page layout.  Sounds crazy?  Nope!  Donna did exactly that while using My Faves Templates 3.  I love this idea of simply carrying it across both pages.  Isn’t this fantastic??

Okay, I’ve shown you some ways to make some two page spreads, but now I’d like to see what you’ve done.  We can all learn from each other!  Link us up to your layout here so we can see the eye candy and leave some love!

Have a great few weeks!
