Not Ashamed: Enlisting Scrapping Help

I've been pushing hard to finish my 2012 scrapbook album. I wanted to get it done before we travel to get our son in June. I know I'll be taking tons of pictures of him and our travels, and I'll want to be focusing on scrapping those pictures when we get home. If 2012 didn't get finished before we left, I just knew it would be pushed to the wayside and forgotten.

I knew I couldn't get it done myself, so I enlisted a friend. Tracy, one of my very talented creative team members, offered to scrap some photos for me. I bundled up some photos, sent her a list of text she could include and told her to scrap them however she wanted! I wondered how I would feel about her pages. I mean, I knew they would be beautiful (because she scraps beautiful pages), but would I feel weird having someone else's scrapped pages in my family album? Well, guess what? I love them. I still look at the photos and think of the memories my family and I have made. I'm not ashamed to say that a friend scrapped these for me. In fact, I think I will enjoy looking at these pages knowing that a friend scrapped them for me.

And thanks to her I can say that my 2012 album is finished! I finished up scrapping a few pages last week, and I've already placed the order for my album. I'm hoping for it to arrive any day. I'll be showing it to you soon!

So, don't be afraid to ask for help. Actually, I could probably use that tip in all areas of my life.

That's amazing! I think I would look at an album a friend made for me even more than the ones I make myself. I would probably notice something new every time. :) Fun!

It was a privilege to scrap Liz's family - I hope her life stays super busy and I can help so more! Documenting the stories of others is an unique scrapping challenge and a LOT of fun.
