Counting the Weeks Volume 1 by Amber Labau
Hyannis Papers by One Little Bird Designs
Hello Summer Elements by Amy Wolf Designs
Staycation Word Art by Mommyish
Summer Vibes Elements by Paislee Press
Week 28 was another fun summer week. 2 of the girls were off to camp for a few days, we spent a day at the beach, a morning at the library, lots of time playing games, and playing outside.

Poor Isaac was heart broken when he said goodbye to the girls.

BTW - I'm lovin' text and word art over photos these days.

I did manage to scrap a few more China pages this past weekend. I can't show a couple of them to you since they are with some new templates that won't release until next week.

Here's one that I can show you. I used the MIS prize template from July's make it snappy. I rarely scrap a page with one photo, but I really only had one photo from this activity, and I knew my son would love a fish themed page.

Another Quick Album by Amanda

Amanda has created another quick album. She took her son to a DanTDM concert and made a book just for this event. She said her son jumped up and down when he received the album. She's only sharing a few pages because Dan asked her to keep most of the stuff a secret for other kids attending the show.

Amanda really streamlined the process for this album, much like her last album.

Here's what she said about creating this album.

When I am making a book I like to really pare down the number of supplies I am using. So just one kit or just a few papers and elements is plenty for me. It's all about the pictures and stories.

This was her planning list for her pages:

Front Cover

Title Page
Getting Ready 1
Getting Ready 2
Gamestop/Cinco's/Pet Store 1
Gamestop/Cinco's/Pet Store 2
We are Here! 1
We are Here! 2
"We Want Dan" (QR code to video)
The Show 1 We Want Dan
The Show 2 Don't take my picture
The Show 3
The Show 4
The Show 5
The Show 6
The Show 7
The Show 8
The Show 9
The Show 10 Final Battle
The Show 11 Song
Heading Home
Back Cover

I think having a page plan in order is a great idea! It keeps you motivated, and you don't have to think about what picture or pages you will work on next.

Here's her supply list:

Template: Scrapping with Liz ~ Snappy Album Templates
Kit: Kristin Aagard ~ Over the Moon
Fonts: BadaBoom BB & Volter (Goldfish)

Front Cover - I Love the full page cover.

She ordered a Shutterfly book and was happy with the results.

I love that she capture the getting ready phase.

Another album by Amanda. She's really inspiring me.

Monday Highlight: Indoor Camping by Beatrice

Using Monthly Blog Challenge July '17 Template (available for a limited time)
Kit by Dandelion Dust Designs
Today's highlight is brought to you by Beatrice. The pictures on this scrapbook page were so fun. I had to take a closer look and read the journaling to see what they were all about. I love how the colors on the page really complement the photos. Beatrice used that patterned papers beautifully and used just the right amount of elements to highlight the photos. I especially love the tent and tree tucked behind the photos.

I hope these fun photos brighten up your Monday.

Week 27 and MORE China Pages!

My Life Templates 7 by Scrapping with Liz
Counting the Weeks Volume 1 by Amber Labau
Hyannis Papers by One Little Bird Designs
Hello Summer Elements by Amy Wolf Designs
Staycation Word Art by Mommyish
Summer Vibes Elements by Paislee Press
It's July! We are in full summer mode over here. July 4th, bike riding, water play, camp, walks, relaxin', ice cream, etc... So many smiles on this week's page. I love it. And just one sad face picture. My 2nd oldest daughter and I were really missing my oldest this week since she was off to camp. It's not too often around here that someone is missing. We are always together. She's back safe and sound and she had a blast at camp.

It was Abi and Isaac's first July 4th. They loved the fireworks and sparklers. Lydia learned how to ride her bike so we packed up the van with as many bikes as we could fit and went riding almost every day! And of course we had ice cream to celebrate the big milestone.

I even had some time this past weekend to scrap some more China pages! I think I only have about 5 days worth of pictures left to scrap before I can print Abi and Isaac's albums. Being this close to the end really gives me motivation to finish them up.

These next few pages are just some random things we saw while we were hanging out in Guangzhou. They don't have too much to do with Abi and Isaac, but they are places and things I want them to remember or at least know that they experienced even if they don't remember them.

50% Off One Day Only - Snappy Album and Chevrons

Today I'm bringing back two oldies for you, but they are new to The Lilypad. Enjoy the 50% SOSN discount on these products today only, July 12, 2017.

Snappy Album Templates is a 20-page set with simple blocked and gridded designs. They are embellished with simple lines and paper triangles, and just a hit of tiny dimensional elements. This set is a favorite of my creative team.

Fun with Chevron Templates are filled with those fun angular geometric shapes. These have been slightly updated from the original set with more journaling strips and more trendy font choices.

Jenn created lots of beautiful pages with Snappy Album Templates. Here's just one. Check out the rest on the product description page.

Stefani did some creative things with the Snappy Album Templates. I love how she added journaling and fun elements on the top of the photo.

Tiffany created this page a while back with Fun with Chevron Templates. It's still one of my favorites.

Stefani did a great job using Fun with Chevron Templates. I like all her little added details.

Quick and Easy Cruise Album by Amanda

My creative team member, Amanda, created a gorgeous album of a cruise her family took just a couple months ago. I'm always amazed at how quickly Amanda can put together beautiful albums. I really need to learn something from her process.

I'm just going to share a few quick tips from her and some pictures of her printed album.

Here are the supplies she used:
Scrapping with Liz ~ Sweet and Simple Album Templates 5
Scrapping with Liz ~ Multi Mini Templates
Scrapping with Liz ~ Big Photo Templates
Scrapping wtih Liz ~ Zine Style Double Templates 1 and Zine Style Double Templates 2
Scrapping with Liz
~ Simple Square Templates
Lilypad Designers ~ Life Is An Adventure Collab
Fonts: Skipper, Caviar Dreams

Here's a little bit of what Amanda said about creating her album:
To plan my pages I went through my pictures and made sub-folders in Picasa of the pages I wanted to make. As I came across pictures of our stateroom or pictures of walking on the deck I put them in the same folder so I could put them all on the same page. Since I didn't restrict myself page wise the total page count was sixty four. I waited for a sale at Shutterfly and was able to get 50% off and free shipping. Totally worth waiting for the deal.
I really pared down my paper and element choices. I think this gave the entire album a very cohesive look. We love it!

There you have it. She kept it simple and kept her photos organized. I really think this is key to getting an album done quickly.

This is something her family will treasure.

I love that she kept the titles to a simple font.

And that she got a cohesive look with sticking to one digital scrapbook kit.

I'm inspired to finish up some albums I'm working on. I hope this helps you too!

Monday's Highlight: Fun Summertime by Judith

Recyclables 49 by Scrapping with Liz
Splash of Summer by Lynn Grieveson
I immediately fell in love with the background of this page. The pool water with the canvas look of the paper is gorgeous. It's the perfect background for those photos. The series of photos is so fun. You can feel the action. This page just screams summertime!

Great job to Judith on a beautiful Monday Highlight page. Make sure you upload your pages to my SwL Gallery on Facebook. I might pick your page for a Monday Highlight and you can win $$$ to my store. Plus you can keep up to date on all the happenings in the SwL Facebook group as well.
