June Blog Challenge: Template Revisited 47

Happy National Chocolate Ice Cream Day!

It's been so very hot where I live in Arizona that I've bee looking for ways to stay cool. While googling this morning, I discovered that today is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day.  Even though chocolate isn't my first, second or even third flavor preference, I think I can make an exception in the spirit of the day.  ;)

I've decided the perfect pairing for my ice cream indulgence would be some good old scrap therapy. So even if ice cream isn't your thing, I've got a great template for you!  Template Revisited 47 is our June Blog Challenge template. It was super fun to scrap and it coordinates fabulously with the template challenge freebie at The Lily Pad.  (You can find The Lilypad challenge template HERE).

Tracy hosted an MIS at TLP this past weekend, so I had lots of gorgeous pages to look at in my gallery. It was a tough decision, but I picked this page by Sharon for today's highlight. I love how the title really adds to the photos. Her elements and shadowing are very nice. I like that she mixed in the doodles too, and the little bit of black around the page really makes it pop.

Don't forget to share you SwL pages in my facebook group, and if  you missed the MIS (make it snappy) there is always one on the first Saturday of the month in the TLP forum. They are lots of fun and sure to get your creative juices flowing.

I Taught My Daughter to Scrap...

My 2nd daughter (11) got the hankering to learn how to digi-scrap. I sat down one afternoon and taught her the basics, (pretty much the same basics I taught my oldest daughter when she wanted to learn) and she took off!

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures last week. I had just enough for me week 21 page. I also realize I haven't taken any videos these last couple of weeks. What is wrong with me?! Either way I was able to document our week. It was pretty simple. We did have a trip to Chapel Hill. A routine check-up for Matthew. He's doing great!

We also got hair cuts. The only time I pulled out the DSLR. I really need to pull it out more often. I haven't been very happy with my phone pictures lately. Not sure what is going on there.
