Week 41 & 42: China, Abigail and Isaac!

Some of you may have noticed my scrapping absence over the last couple of weeks. I haven't been blogging, uploading pages, active in the forums and my SwL Group on facebook.  I've been in China these last two weeks adopting our two newest kids, Abigail and Isaac. We actually head home tomorrow and this is really the first time I've gotten good enough internet connection to upload pages and enough time to right out a blog post. I was able to squeeze in few minutes here and there to work on my weekly pages, they are a priority! I know how much my kids love to see these pages and how it helps them to remember and process everything.

Week 41 is more about us leaving for China and the first few days we spent in Beijing sightseeing with our 9 year old who came with us.

Then came the time to meet our two newest treasures.

We love them to pieces. Everyone is doing great. We are so ready to be home. It'll take us almost 30 hours of traveling to get home, but I'm looking forward to it because that means we will soon be all together.

Even as I look at these pictures from a week ago I can see how much our children have already grown and overcome so many things. They are amazing.

Looking forward to being back home and getting back into a routine. I will be in and out over the next couple months as our family adjusts. I have a few releases planned, but overall I will be very quiet as I snuggle on these 2 newest blessings.

Week 40: Bakin' and Hangin'

I don't know what it was about this week, but I have three pictures on there with me in them and two pictures with the hubster. Well, I know that kids will enjoy looking back, when they are older, and being reminded of how mom and dad looked. And when you think about it, we are a huge part of their lives, we should be in these pictures.

This week included just a lot of hanging out together. This was our last week together as a family of seven. Soon we will be a family of nine! I think we were just trying to soak up as much of it as we could.

Monday's Highlight: Wish by Kaleena

Of Wishes Hopes and Dreams Part 1 and Part 2

While looking through my SwL Gallery this weekend in my facebook group this page by Kaleena just popped out to me.  Number one, I love the big photo, but I really love all the little scatters and details around the photo.  It just looks like she took so much care to arrange them just so without wanting to take too much away from the photo. It's a lovely page!

Week 39 is done! I can't believe September is over. We wrapped up Volleyball, there were lots of music lessons and experiments going on at our house too. I went on a fun hike with my sis and two of my girls on Sunday. I'm ready for October.

I actually took some videos this week and put some QR codes on my page. Not sure how I got out of the habit. I haven't had any videos for the last few weeks. I know my kids love watching them when they look at the scrapbook pages. I'm going to try to be better at this.

I know I haven't been super consistent in posting these Monday Highlights! I'm so sorry. Life just gets away sometimes. I still enjoy looking through the SwL Gallery each week, and I'm going to continue to post Monday Highlights as I can. Remember, if I choose your page you could win $$ to my store.

Now to why I chose Bekki's page this week. I love her use of papers on the swirl layers and how her title and journaling draw you to the right side of the paper. Her little clusters around the page are perfect. Sometimes it's hard to cluster without drawing your eye away from the photos, but Bekki worked it perfectly here.
