Cover Pages - It's Time to Print!

I may have pushed scrapping my weekly page aside this past weekend because I really wanted to get Abi and Isaac's album ready for printing! This is all I worked on this weekend as far as scrapping goes. But I'm so happy to say that I've finished two big projects and Abi and Isaac will now each have their own albums.

I used Blurb for Matthew's Album and Lydia's Album and I've decided that I like the basic white cover the most. So both Abi and Isaac's cover pages have white backgrounds with pops of color.

Since adopting them was quite the adventure and required lots of traveling, I went with a travel/adventure/journey type theme.

I haven't ordered their books yet but I do have their pages all organized, and I went through my photos and doubled checked that I'm not missing anything important. I'll be uploading the pages soon and ordering their books! I just know that both of them are going to LOVE them. They love looking at our family scrapbooks and I know they'll love a book all about themselves.

Since both of their birthdays are in May,  I might wait until then to give it to them. I can just imagine their faces when they open their albums. I can't wait!

And that little airplane on Isaac's. He will flip out!

Next weekend I'll be sure to catch up on my weekly album. I'm wondering what scrapbook project I should work on next? Maybe I'll finish our house album.

I've made it a priority to put my phone away and that means more photos with my DSLR which makes me a happy mamma when I go to scrap my weekly pages. The photos are always better than my phone photos. This week was a pretty typical week: school, music lessons, reading, playing outside, etc. No special events or activities. It was nice! I kept my page nice and simple. I'm loving the light, airy feel my weekly pages have had lately, plus they are really easy to put together.

I also scrapped two more pages of our travels home from China. It's hard to believe that Abi and Isaac have been home almost a year and a half. They've grown so much. We've grown so much.

Only a few more pages and I think I'll be ready to print these albums! Maybe I'll have them done for their birthdays in May.

It was a busy week.  So busy that I apparently forgot to take pictures. What you see on my page is all that I took! That is not very many for me. Even though we were busy his week I did manage to finish my weekly page, my February review page and two China pages.

I'm loving the white background and light colors on these pages...even if there aren't many photos.

Here's my February planner review page. I added to this a little bit every week so it was easy to finish up this past weekend. I think it will be fun to look back and see our whole month on one page.

Week 5, January Calendar Review Page and Another China Page

Memory Pockets Monthly KEEN Feb 2018
This week started off kind of crazy: painting rooms and then a big trip to the audiologist. It ended pretty normal: school, library, co-op, speech, etc...

I'm still catching up on some work due to a whole day at doc appointments. Those days really put me behind. But I'm glad to say I did finish my double page spread for last week and managed to finish up my January Review page AND even put the finishing touches on a page that I had worked on a couple of weeks ago but could never find the time to finish it.

You'll see above the room re-do and below is just normal activities from the week.

And here's my finished Planner Review page. This is what I'm planning on doing with my new Planner Templates. It's more of a detailed look back on our month. I think it will be fun for the kids to look back and see what we were doing on different days.

And then here's a page I worked on a few weeks ago but could never get those finishing touches on it: journaling, shadows, etc...

And these photos mark our last day in China. The rest are of our travels home. I'm so close to getting this album done!

I finished up this page yesterday. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen my "story" on how I was trying to scrapbook with 3 little ones climbing all over me. They get so excited when I scrapbook and they see their faces on my pages.

Last week was a pretty normal week. We are back into our school routine and slowly getting back to music lessons, hearing therapy, etc...

Not sure if I've shared what I'm doing with my new 2018 Calendar Planner series. It's all a blur over here lately. I'm documenting our days with these and then going to add these to the end of my Weekly album. I think it will be fun to look back to see what our schedule looked like over the year. I've finished the last two weeks. I'm filling them in at the end of each week. It literally takes me about 5 minutes to update it at the end of the week. So easy.

Last weekend I scrapped a few more China pages.  I'm working on our last day in China! Woohoo. So close to get these printed. You'll have to click on the image to get full credits as I used WAY too many things on these pages which isn't my usual style, but sometimes it's fun to do something different.

Look at those cuties. They sure have changed in just over a year.

I miss China.

How did your weekend scrapping go?

Week 38. It was a pretty normal week around here: school, hiking, appointments, and outside play. The one out of the ordinary event was my oldest daughter getting her learner's permit. How is this possible?

I found that I did not take a whole lot of photos this week. Not sure why...I like to think that maybe I was just trying to soak up the moments with them rather then always trying to take a photo of the moment.

Last weekend I managed to scrap two more pages for Abi and Isaac's adoption album.  I focused on playing with my shadows a little bit more in this page. There's a new Polly, Isa Marks, at The Lilypad that inspired me. Her pages look so real. I just stared at her pages for awhile and took note of some of the ways she placed her shadows. I know I have a long way to go, but I think I learned a few things.

It's July! We are in full summer mode over here. July 4th, bike riding, water play, camp, walks, relaxin', ice cream, etc... So many smiles on this week's page. I love it. And just one sad face picture. My 2nd oldest daughter and I were really missing my oldest this week since she was off to camp. It's not too often around here that someone is missing. We are always together. She's back safe and sound and she had a blast at camp.

It was Abi and Isaac's first July 4th. They loved the fireworks and sparklers. Lydia learned how to ride her bike so we packed up the van with as many bikes as we could fit and went riding almost every day! And of course we had ice cream to celebrate the big milestone.

I even had some time this past weekend to scrap some more China pages! I think I only have about 5 days worth of pictures left to scrap before I can print Abi and Isaac's albums. Being this close to the end really gives me motivation to finish them up.

These next few pages are just some random things we saw while we were hanging out in Guangzhou. They don't have too much to do with Abi and Isaac, but they are places and things I want them to remember or at least know that they experienced even if they don't remember them.

I was on a roll this past weekend. I scrapped my weekly page, a June calendar page and a few China pages! Do you ever get on a roll and not want to stop? That was me this weekend. I wish I could have pumped out a few more pages.

Take a closer look below if you would like to.

Here's a close up of the left page of  Week 26. My oldest daughter is just growing up way too fast. Then I had another kid turn 10 this week. I taught 3 kids how to play Monopoly. I'd like to say it was fun. And we texted Daddy a lot of photos of all of us while he was gone for the week on a business trip.

The birthday girl wanted to go for a hike with just me. She was my favorite for the day. We really enjoyed a hike up Siler Bald. My sis joined us. We played in the creek and we had lots of smiling faces when Daddy got home.

Here's my June page. A good recap of different things that happened  in June. Birthday, audiologist appointments, bike riding and ice cream!

Another China page but this one was specifically scrapped for the Make it Snappy at the Lily Pad this past weekend. These are always a lot of fun and get me doing things I might not typically do. But I like it because it gives me new ideas to work with. Tracy hosts one on the first Saturday of every month at 7pm in the Lily Pad Forum. If you participate you'll get a free template!

Go here for full credits.

That's it for this week. Here's to hoping I have a few more pages to show you next week.

Week 15.  We did a lot of normal things this week like school work, cooking, laundry, cleaning, yard work, etc...but a few extra special things like a sleep over with a cousin, a big hair cut for Ashlyn (she decided to donate her hair), a service project, and Easter egg hunt. There's a little bit of it all on this week's page.

That picture of Abi cracks me up. They had their cousin over to spend the night and the next morning they put on a gymnastics show for me. This was one of her moves. It sort of looks like a rock star pose.

Here are a few more pages from Jinan, China. Slowly but surely getting this album done.
