Christmas Poster Made with Digital Scrapbook Elements

I have this wooden hanger in my living room, and I switch out posters on it. Usually the posters coordinate with whatever we are learning in school. For Christmas I wanted something a little more festive and couldn't quite find what I wanted. Since I'm handy in Photoshop I thought, why not make my own?

So I did!

I realize my poster is a little small for the wooden frames. Apparently I was off on my measurements. Next time I make another poster I'll be sure to order something a bit bigger.

I started with a blank 11x17 canvas in Photoshop and then used elements from this kit to make a wreath like frame. I used Ctrl+J to duplicate the different elements, and I used the move tool to rotate the elements until everything look good.

I used Mulberry Script Pro Bold to type up my words.

Then I used Persnickety Prints to print my poster. I ordered an 11x17 Pearl Press Print. It has a nice shiny pearl look to it. It was only $1 extra to get the Pearl Print. Totally worth it.

Now, if I could only get the rest of my Christmas decorations up!

Week 46: This Page Was a Struggle!

Memory Pockets Monthly Kit  - Kindred Nov' 16 and Add-Ons Available at TLP
I had this week's page open in Photoshop for 3 days. I started it Saturday night but just couldn't keep my eyes open to finish it. I left Photoshop open thinking I would finish it the next day, really quick. It sat there until Tuesday night! My hubby was out of town, and I ended up getting sick Sunday night. Talk about a double whammy. Newly home with two new toddlers, husband has to leave for 4 days, and then I get sick. Needless to say there was no time on the computer and as soon as the kids were in bed so was I. I finally finished it up Tuesday night. All is good now. The hubby is back, I'm feeling back to normal, and Week 46 is done!

Album Inspiration with Kayta: Spanish Holidays 2014 Album

One of my Creative Team Members, Katya, made a gorgeous travel album. She used my templates along with some other digital scrapbook items.

Here's the grand list:

I thought you might like to see it. Maybe it will get your creative juices flowing. I know we all have some albums we could get finished.

Here are some close ups of the printed lay flat album. She used a local source to print her album: http://fotokniga.by/

Doesn't it look great?

Vibrant.

With the lay flat pages you can get that seamless look.

So many great photos and memories captured.

And she even decorated that back. I love those stamps! I'm going to have to do that with our China album.

Hope that gives you some inspiration.

I did have to modify the template just a bit to fit the orientation of my photos, but it was super simple. These templates are very versatile.

I'm setting aside the weekends and scrap only time when I'm on my computer. No SwL work allowed. I have some important albums to finish. This weekend I was able to scrap my weekly page plus four additional pages for the China/Adoption album.

I wanted to try a super clean look on these two pages that will be side by side in the album. I like how it turned out.

Then I wanted a little more color, but still kept it pretty clean. I like a variety of colors, kits and styles in these albums. It's fun turning the pages and not knowing what you'll get.

Needless to say, I have a lot of pictures to scrap from our trip. I'm trying to use templates that have a lot of photo spots, some journaling, and just the right amount of elements to keep the focus on all the photos.
