You know what I think I love most about having 7 kids ages 2-14? I get a variety of everything. From seeing the excitement of a 2 year old use the potty for the first time, watching a 7 and 9 year old develop a plan for a yarn maze and observing a 14 year old develop her debating skills. When I look at my page this week that is what I see. So many ages, so many exciting things happening for each one of them...and I get to watch it all happen. #soblessed

Here's the journaling on my pages. It's a little all over the place.
Left Page:
What a fun week. The top left photo is from a grocery store trip. I had 3 of my girls with me. We took lots of walks. It's been so nice outside. They always have to have their walking sticks. The kids made a yarn maze on the front porch. On Saturday we celebrated Matthew's 8th birthday with a baseball game with cousins & Oreo ice cream cake. The top right photo is from movie night. They are so cute on the couch all close together with their popcorn. Lydia, Abi and Isaac helped me make the cake for Matthew. They love to stir!

Journaling on right page:
1. Ashlyn had her debate this week. She did so great. Much improved from the fall. I think she's getting the hang of it.
2.Lydia's been taking lessons for a couple months now. She's the first to practice every day.
3.Waiting at the orthodontist. Isaac enjoyed playing with the checker pieces while I did school work with Lydia.

That's it for this week!

After our busy week last week this week was a little more laid back and normal. We kept to a normal school schedule, co-op, music lessons, art class, gymnastics, etc... We even got a date night!

Photo #1 - Matthew is doing Yoga with me. His form is a lot better than mine. Lately he is obsessed with his muscles...I wonder if it will get worse the older he gets. #boys?
Photo #2 - My hubby and I enjoying a date night. I got this amazing Salmon dish...it melted in my mouth. He got his fave, a Cuban.
Photo 3# - My daughter practicing for debate. It's happening this week and she's so nervous. She'll do great though!

And what about those 2 at the top right. Too cute for words. They are a year apart but it's like having twins. They like to do whatever the other one is doing...or they like to boss each other around and tell each other what to do...or they like to be mischievous together.

Each week the 3 middles have art class. They learned some face painting techniques his week. Matthew's mustache cracked us up. I think Kyla did pretty good.

The picture at the bottom was at the docs office. It was just a routine visit, but I ended up having take all the kids with me. We took over the waiting room. It became our school room for an hour.

Here's little scrapping tip. I need that entire space at the bottom for my photo, but I still wanted to use the little journal card that I made with the template. I turned the opacity down on the paper layer and gave it a vellum look so you could still see the entire photo, and I could still add some journaling on top.

That's it for this week!

When I look at this busy page it really conveys what are week was like. There was so much going on. I had to squeeze in little bits of journaling, add a photo spot and include 3 QR codes!

There was homeschool gymnastics day. It's always a blast. Kyla and Emmie both won a t-shirt for crossing the tight rope. I've been trying to include a weekly art lesson in with our regular homeschool activities.  This week we did some chalk portraits.

Here's the journaling from photo #1 and #2 above:

1. Daddy with the girls who stayed behind while the rest of us went to Chapel Hill for Doc appointments.
2. Sweet sisters wait for me as I check out at Wal-mart.

Abi was sick early in the week. She woke up with this weird ear infection where her face was swelling up, but she had no fever and no fussiness. You wouldn't even had known she was sick if her ears weren't draining and her face wasn't red and puffy! When I went to get her medicine I found a $2 puppy pillow. I just had to get it for her. Thankfully she's all back to normal now.

There's a picture there of us eating our lunch out side of Children's Cochlear Implant Center at UNC. We had multiple appointments and packed a lunch. Then we did school in the hotel room. When we got home we all played a new game together called Quixx. It's a fun dice game that our whole family can play, minus the 2 youngest kids.  We've already played it a half dozen times.

Oh and the picture at the top right is a boy trip to Lowe's. I think Daddy enjoys having more boys to take with him to the construction store.

And just for fun here are my QR code videos if you would like to see them:

Here's Matthew teaching Abi how to talk. This is amazing on so many levels. Matthew has only been hearing for 2 years. He has to work on hearing and talking every day. For him to be teaching his little sister is just amazing.

Abi spontaneously said I Love You to me this week for the first time. We caught a video of her shortly after saying it. Then Isaac had to get in the fun and start telling us something.

I downloaded this new app called Boomerang and my kids had a lot of fun playing around with it. Here's a compilation of some of their videos.

Well then, I think I was a little chatty this week. I hope you enjoyed hearing a little bit more of my week.
