February Template Mash Up

Can you believe it’s the last day of February already?? Where is this year going? Hopefully you’ve had a chance to scrap all those memories you are capturing. Today I have a fun way to do just that – all while stretching your stash of Liz’s templates! I will show you how I combined two different templates and mashed them into one new layout. How fun is that?! Think of this as a fun way to spark some creativity.

First, I started out with Recyclables 59 because I just love the diagonal flow of the template.

BUT, I needed three photos. I found the perfect arrangement of three photos in one of the Recyclables62 templates.

Even better, since they were framed by paper pieces also on a diagonal flow, I knew I could combine these two templates without a problem. So what did I do? I mashed the two templates together of course! This is my finished layout:

Week 7 is complete! We had a pretty normal week with some special things thrown in. Besides the normal routine, we went to a cousin's basketball game, they hubby and I went on a special date and then the weather was so nice on Saturday that we went on a hike with friends. It was a good week.

GALLERY STAND OUT

Happy Thursday! I know Thursdays aren’t typically worth a shout out, but this Thursday is different. 😊 Today we get to highlight some gorgeous eye candy found in the gallery, and I’m excited to say this will be a new monthly series. There is just something inspiring about looking at gorgeous layouts using Liz’s templates and cut outs. Hopefully, you’ll agree and all of our mojos will thank us hehe!

So…. Take a peek at this layout by aurian. I love the bright colors she choose as well as her ability to take three totally different events and make them into one cohesive layout. What a great use of the template. Isn’t it pretty?!

And here is another I found by Mrivas. The paper piecing inside those cut outs is amazing! What a great idea!

And finally, I love this large photo layout by sbarken. She really used this template to make her photos shine! Wouldn’t you agree?

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these lovely layouts as much as I have enjoyed showing them to you. All three layouts are so different from each other, yet they are all beautiful. It’s so fun to see such great eye candy, ‘eh?!!

I had so much fun creating this week's pages. I tried out some new styles and overlays to help give my pages a more realistic look. I'm lovin' these crumpled styles and these worn overlays!

This week we celebrated Chinese New Year, dealt with lots of sickness, and enjoyed some warm weather.

Week 5 & 2018 Cover Page!

I spent a little time this past weekend scrapping the cover page for my 2018 family album. I think I'm going to go with a Layflat Shutterfly album. I've been printing 12x12 pages and putting them in traditional albums but my shelves are filling up quickly! Now I just need to wait for a super awesome coupon from Shutterfly! I was a bit too late for this weekend's sale.

And now for Week 5 of 2019. It was a pretty ordinary week with some extraordinary moments. School, CC (our homeschool group), listening practice and talking, time at home, running, playing outside...
